53-year-old male presents with a leg wound sustained 10 days ago during a mountain biking trip in Moab, Utah, after jamming a pedal into his leg. He has been applying topical Neosporin, but reports the pain has progressively worsened and it now hurts to walk. Initial examination shows road rash with surrounding cellulitis and a central blood blister/hematoma.

Sudden collapse followed by continuous generalized seizures

Patient is an adult male with no known medical history who presented after suddenly dropping to the floor without warning. Initial neuro exam and vitals were reported as normal, but he subsequently developed a continuous generalized tonic-clonic seizure while in the waiting room chair. Total seizure time exceeded 4-5 minutes, qualifying as status epilepticus.

79-year-old male from an assisted living facility presenting to the ED with a fever and cough. He has a history of mild Alzheimer's disease. On arrival, he is tachycardic, hypotensive, and experiencing altered mental status (asking if it is dinnertime). A POLST form from his facility indicates he is to receive IV fluids and medications, but no intubation and no chest compressions (DNI/No CPR).
